CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES:
Greeters – Meet people at the door before Sunday morning service to welcome and pass out bulletins. Our greeters are also asked to prepare coffee, tea and refreshments before the service and serve following the service.
Scripture Readers – If you like the challenge of reading scripture and don’t mind public speaking, we would love to have you participate in our worship services by reading the scripture!
Zoomers – We have a small group of people that volunteer on a rotational basis to zoom the worship service on Sunday morning. Your technical skills will come in handy here.
Committees – We are always looking for people to serve on committees, which meet on a monthly basis. Please see Committees page for a committee that may interest you.
Fundraising Dinners – We host many church dinners throughout the year. This is our specialty! Whether you help in set-up, serving or clean-up, your help is greatly appreciated.
Funeral Receptions – Gibson is known for hosting lovely funeral receptions for congregation members past and present, in our church hall following a loved-ones funeral.
Sunday School Teachers – If you enjoy working with little ones, perhaps you would like to volunteer as a Sunday School teacher? We have a multi-age Sunday school group that currently enjoys time spent in a newly refreshed and sun-filled room close to the sanctuary. Sunday School teachers volunteer on a rotational basis, and all lessons and supplies are provided.
Pie Day – Our famous pies are made the day before a church dinner! If you love to bake pies or want to learn, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
